We had a wonderful time at the official re-opening of the historic York Racecourse and you could not have wished for a better day so far as we are concerned. Great friends, good food & refreshments and the thunder of hooves. L©ve Y©rk!

Country racing was at its best at York.
A beautiful drive through the Sawyers Valley and the Darling Range into the historic township and track.
An ambient view of Mt Bakewell as the backdrop to a colourful and exciting day of thoroughbred racing.
Competition on the track, the facilities, food and beverage were top shelf and the staff greeted you with a warm and friendly smile.
Very relaxed country feeling in a picturesque setting, which can only be found at Australia's oldest provincial racetrack.

The York Cup on Easter Monday provided my wife and I with an appreciated participation in the new Race Club with its great deck and excellent viewing and hospitality areas.
The opportunity to visit WA’s oldest town was a warm reminder of our early heritage and the need to return.

The fantastic new facilities enhance what was already a stunning location under Mount Bakewell. We’ve attended the first 2 race meets since the re-opening and have really enjoyed ourselves. York is really lucky to have such a brilliant asset - with or without a family it is a great day out! We’ll be regulars out there on race day.
